Aqua Medic Hydrocarbonatis a natural product free of sodium and chloride ions. In opposite to common synthetic formulations it does not lead to any changes of the salt composition

Use in calcite filters and calcium reactors:

The Aqua Medic Hydrocarbonat reacts with carbonic acid and dissolves completely to get in solution as calciumbicarbonate. This way the carbonate hardness and the content of calcium are completed in sea water aquaria.

Use as filtration material:
as long as the surfaces are not blocked through precipitation and growth of algae it removes phosphate from the water and takes it up as calcium phosphate. Should it be used as phosphate filter, it has to be replaced after 6 months
